Today i would like to tell you about structured interruptions and how it can be used to recruit prospects . The concept was originally spoken off by Mr Mark Wieser , a master recruiter who holds the record for sponsoring 20-25 people every month for 18 consecutive months in one of his MLM companies. Remarkable isn’t it?

I was recently attending one of his webinars on recruiting where i discovered this concept. mark says while recruiting it is an extremely effective ploy to introduce deliberate structured interruptions. One has to deliberately interrupt the prospect while on the call. this is how he does it.

Remember that you have the upper edge . despite of your current stage as a networker even if you are just one day old on your company you automatically know more about your company and business than the prospect. And you have to use this to you advantage. this is done by taking control over the entire conversation By repeatedly asking questions to the prospects so as to qualify them. In this way you screen and filter only the best to work with you.

You might be thinking, “Anand. what if the prospect has real queries regarding the business? isn’t it my responsibility to tell him that?” A vast majority of people might disagree but the answer is no. The time has changed its not 20 years ago when their was no internet or other tools. Use these tools to do the explaining. we as networkers have to interview them so make sure our time and energy is not wasted on the wrong individual.

One other advantage of doing this is it becomes a great for objection handling. See the example to see how.

Many a times my team asks me,”Anand, what is the quickest, fastest and easiest way of building a downline?”. Well i wont say its the easiest way but it sure is the safest way.The best way to build a downline is by building leaders.The one thing you as a leader must understand is that in network marketing there are two kinds of people. Distributors and Leaders. Leaders are distributors with a difference. You will fall straight at your face if you treat a distributor like a leader and leader like a distributor.one common misconception that most networkers in India have is that they believe any one can become a leader. I myself have been a victim to this notion.

It was when met this guy things changes.My mentor now, he told me things that are usually not spoken much in most network marketing companies in India. Often in company trainings we are trained to bring out the hidden leaders in us? The notion that most get is any one can be a leader. The truth is most distributors can never be leaders. A majority of the distributors are complacent. They have joined for their reasons.-to pay visa bills,to retail products,-to buy a car or may be to get enough money to enjoy a foreign trip etc.. These people are happy with what they are doing and by no means are looking for any thing more.

But there are some select few distributors who are long time players. They are never satisfied. Right from day one they separate themselves from the rest of the crowd. When encountering a problem they face it like the owner and dont hide like the employees.But there is no such thing as free lunch.They are extremely rare. One in hundred is the industry stats.So keep looking for your leader. Ive given a few hints as to how to find them. Its all about working with the right people and most importantly learning how to find the right people!
