Nmart's Owner Gopal Shekhawat arrested by Andhra Police
A city-based businessman was arrested on Tuesday evening by a team of Andhra Pradesh Police in connection with a cheating case lodged against him in that state.
Gopal Shekhavat, owner of NMart Company of retail chain network mall across the country, left his house on Honey Park road in Adajan area of the city on Tuesday afternoon, with his wife for her treatment at BAPS hospital.
The police team comprising of a police inspector and four constables from Prakasam district of Andra Pradesh picked up Gopal from the hospital. They also arrested his body guard for interrupting in the police work. Both of them were taken to Andra Pradesh for further procedures.
The team also informed Adajan police of Surat about the arrest of Gopal.
Sources close to Gopal said a court complaint of cheating was registered against him in Andra Pradesh following which he was arrested.
A family source said, “We are taking help from our legal advisor on how to bring him out.”
